We typically recommend the PHI 3.8™ Battery for residential uses, which comes with a mounting bracket. Batteries are often mounted in the garage, although sometimes we put them outside the home too. Simpliphi Batteries provides a 10-year or 10,000 cycles (@ 80% DOD) warranty. Family First Solar also provides a 10-year labor and installation warranty on Simpliphi batteries and all of our work.
Simpliphi batteries are ETL-certified, RoHS compliant (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), and cobalt-free. ETL is a safety certification similar to the UL certification, meaning that the product has passed all safety tests that are industry standards.
When you meet with a sales rep from Family First Solar, we’ll discuss your current energy usage and desire for going solar. If your desire is to be completely energy self-sufficient, chances are you will want to include a solar battery in your solar system.
